Some Touchy Topics...

There are many subjects of debate where our opinions are affected by religion and background. This includes gay rights, and abortion. I am not going to express my opinion on these and I don't want anyone else to either because they are topics that will never be decided on. That is my point, why fight about opinions? You can try to get people to see your side of things and you can try to change their opinion but you shouldn't push what you believe on other people. Like I said I'm not going to express whether or not I believe in these epic debate topics but I will say that I believe everyone should be loved for who they are. We don't know everyone's situation so I'm not going to judge such views as a whole. I would much rather make it a personal one on one dislike or love. If I have a reason to disagree with someone's decision about abortion I will, but I'm not going to judge the idea as a whole.  Anyway, that's just me, and you're not going to change my opinion. All I have to say is JUDGING IS MEAN!!

  1. Can I just say that I completely see where you are coming from. Excuse me for giving my opinion on opinions, but can you imagine if people didn't give their opinion on those subjects? What would happen? Would anything ever get done? Does peace really mean no expressing yourself, no hard core peaceful views? I don't think so. I think it's about speaking up on what you think is right, but then again, that's just my opinion.

  2. Though I understand that, I'm talking about when people push their opinions on others. For instance, if I had posted "Yay For Gay" as my title, though I'd be completely willing to fight anyone that disagreed with me but that would cause an argument about something that neither side will agree on. Without an opinion I wouldn't have an opinion on opinions but in no way do I mean to bash anyone else's opinion which is what usually ends up happening with certain debate topics. What I meant (though it might not be clear) is judging people for opinions they have is wrong, not necessarily that fighting for your own opinion is wrong. Peace isn't a judgement on whether or not one can express themselves but whether they can do so without being hated for it. Do you honestly think it's "peaceful behavior" to not respect someone else for the ideas they're brave enough to stand up for. My point was basically that a lot of subjects are personal so no one should be judged for them, disagreed with maybe...

  6. Now I see more clearly what you are trying to say, and I too also hate people pushing things I don't agree with on me.
